Meet Laura Schultz, LICSW
A Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, I support adults navigating life through an integrative, trauma-responsive, intersectional and feminist lens. And, as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional,
I specialize in working with survivors of intimate partner and sexual violence, helping them reclaim safety, agency, and self-trust.

My work also focuses on identity development—whether you're exploring your sexual orientation, gender identity, racial or ethnic background, or spiritual path.

I draw from approaches like mindful self-compassion, motivational interviewing, and client-centered therapy—always meeting you where you are, with care and attention.
It's not easy being a person.
Most of us haven't been given much of a roadmap to follow. Forging our own way may work for a while, but eventually most of us need some support navigating. That's okay! That's good! We thrive in safe community and validating collaboration.

Empowerment is at the center of my work with others. As we work together, we'll identify which tools work best for your goals and practice in new ways. My clients thrive most when they're highly motivated to make change, when they engage consistently in sessions, and when they are open to looking at old patterns and behaviors with curiosity.

Transforming Touch Therapy
Transforming Touch® is a gentle, touch-based therapeutic approach
that supports healing from early and non-verbal trauma. Rooted in attachment and nervous system regulation, it uses safe, consistent
physical contact to help restore trust, soothe the body, and repair deep somatic wounds. This work allows clients to re-pattern early experiences stored in the body, fostering greater balance across the emotional,
physical, intellectual, and spiritual self. At the heart of this modality
is the client’s story—and their innate capacity to heal.

EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a research-backed therapy that helps people heal from trauma and other distressing experiences by using bilateral stimulation—like eye movements or tapping—while recalling difficult memories. This process reduces the emotional intensity of those memories, offering relief from symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, OCD, chronic pain, and more. Practiced in over 130 countries, EMDR has helped millions find lasting healing.
